David Paul "Candy Cane" Brownlee

   Mr. David Paul "Candy Cane" Brownlee, 51, of Vossburg, MS passed from this life Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Diversicare of Quitman in Quitman, MS. He was born in Laurel, MS on Monday, November 25, 1974, to the late Arvel and Alma Brownlee. He was a member of Eucutta Independent Church. He retired as a self-employed logger. 
   Mr. Brownlee is preceded in death by his parents, Arvel and Alma Brownlee; grandparents, Jeff and Orlee Brownlee, Paul and Mildred Huffman. He is survived by two sisters, Mary Boleware (David) of Vossburg, MS and Tonya Brownlee of Eucutta, MS; nieces and nephews, Delia Walker (James), Zelda Boleware (Terry), Isaiah Brownlee, and Samuel Boleware; great nieces and nephews, Denee, Caleb, Trisha, Lily, Jace, Adam, Izabela, Emily, Amir, and Kristina; a host of aunts and uncles.
   A Graveside Service for Mr. Brownlee will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 6, 2026, at Goodwater Cemetery in Clarke County, MS with Rev. Pat Patterson officiating. Interment will be in Goodwater Cemetery in Clarke County, MS. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lake Bogue Homa or Archusa Creek Park.
